Under the Boardwalk is an original revue of Carolina Beach Music, set in the present day on the first day of summer at the famous Myrtle Beach. The show includes classic songs by groups such as The Tams, The Embers, The Chairmen of the Board, and The Drifters. If you love beach music, this is the scene for you!
A Gospel Jubilee
May 1st - June 14th, 2026
Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre will once again feature a new twist on an old favorite—filled with the Gospel songs you grew up singing, both old and new. Accompanied by live musicians, this heavenly production will have you on the edge of your pew, singing along to the hymns from your childhood as well as many Southern Gospel and Contemporary Gospel favorites.
Church Basement Ladies
June 19th - July 26th, 2026
The church basement kitchen throughout much of America is often the heart and soul of any church—and it’s no different in 1965 Minnesota. In Church Basement Ladies, we meet the pastor, three main kitchen cooks, and one daughter who run the kitchen and care for the congregation by preparing and serving food. Like any great kitchen, problems are solved here as well.
We see the four women handle a Lutefisk Dinner, a funeral, an Easter Fundraiser, and, of course, a wedding. They stave off potential disasters, have fun, share and debate recipes, instruct the young, and keep the pastor on due course. This musical comedy, based on recipes, food, and change in the church, is funny, heartwarming, and down-to-earth. It will bring back memories of many people you know from churches everywhere.

This fun-filled production also features a breathtaking Nativity scene, sure to put the entire family in the Christmas spirit.

A naïve young couple, Brad Majors and Janet Weiss, get engaged and decide to celebrate with their high school science teacher Dr. Scott, who taught the class where they first met. Seeking a telephone to call for help, the couple walks to a nearby castle where a party is being held. They are accepted in by the strangely dressed inhabitants.. Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite mad scientist, introduces himself and invites them to stay for the night!

Our special late-night performances start at 9:00 PM—perfect for an evening of thrills, laughs, and audience participation. This isn’t the movie, it’s the real deal—live, loud, and wonderfully weird!
The magic of a Wohlfahrt Haus evening begins the moment you take your seat. While the stage prepares for the show, our culinary team is busy crafting a spectacular four-course dinner designed to delight your senses. We believe every performance deserves a menu just as special, so we take our time to create a unique dining experience that perfectly complements the spirit of each show.
Because our menus are thoughtfully created to pair with each specific production, they’re announced a little closer to the show’s opening night. This allows us to use the freshest ingredients, many sourced from our local Southwest Virginia community, and ensure a truly unforgettable meal. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been dreaming up in the kitchen for you!
